Isn't it great being a Gemini? All that charm, that mental flexibility, that ability to see both sides of the issue ... you're the wonder of the zodiac. Take a bow. The problem with that is that both sides of the issue have been kind of a drag. Good news: that’s all going to change in the next year!
Gemini is one of the few Sun signs that doesn't have an animal symbol, but this may be the year that all of that changes. In the past few years, with Pluto opposing your sign, you’ve been a little like a monkey, swinging from branch to branch trying desperately to keep one step ahead of the predators and keep yourself fed. With Pluto now moved on into Capricorn, a lot of the major partnership issues you’ve faced will be lightening up. You’ll still retain the swing, but this year you’re going to feel a lot more like a hummingbird: still mobile, still getting things done, but in a much more elegant manner.
Your renowned intellect has been strained the last couple of years, as it's been forced to find solutions to the many issues you've been dealt. In 2010, you’ll finally be gaining some traction on your biggest challenges, and solutions will flow to you with ease.
Jupiter, which usually brings good times and good news, is transiting your Career House throughout the first half of this year. This doesn’t mean that fame, fortune, a promotion and a better job will just fall into your lap. You’ll need to make at least a little effort. That said, your odds for true career success are better this year than they have been in the last decade.

The second half of the year will see you making a wide range of new social contacts that will have a financial payoff down the road. Think of August and September as a chance to do some effective networking that will pay off late in the year or early in 2011. Your greatest source of expense in the next year is likely to be on the home front. Make sure you can really afford that new couch -- or that new house to put it in!
As for your actual money supply, there are opportunities coming up in strange and unexpected places, particularly in July. An eclipse in your money house can serve as both a warning against overspending and as a sign that circumstances are about to change dramatically. Fortunately, your other aspects at that time appear to be more good than bad. Be forewarned though: there are bound to be at least a couple of weeks of genuine uncertainty. Remain optimistic, try not to overspend, and you’ll make it through fine.
Saturn will be spending the next two years in your Romance House. This is not usually the most “romantic” of times in the usual sense. One way or another, it appears that this is the year things get serious for you. Don’t recoil in horror, Gemini; it may go against the grain of your reputation, but it could be a good thing. Romantic relationships that you have are going to be challenged to either shape up (in the form of greater commitment) or ship out (in the form of a new relationship). Issues surrounding children (both current and planned) will also likely be a major factor.
If you are already in a committed relationship, things will likely be going relatively smoothly for you throughout September to November. Although you may find that your time together is more limited than usual due to scheduling and financial commitments, you’ll probably also find that what time you do spend with your partner is more fulfilling.
If you are looking for a new romantic interest, the second half of this year is going to bring an onslaught of attention from potential partners. As a matter of fact, even if you aren’t looking for the attention, it’s likely to be there anyway. If you haven’t had a lot of satisfaction from your romantic life in the last year or so, August to November will be an excellent time to change how you get yourself “on the market,” whether it’s joining a dating service or simply hanging out in new places. Be receptive to the potential out there, and someone will surely find you.
