2011: Year of the Teenage Daydream

The coming year plays out like the Katy Perry song: It's a cosmic growth hormone, and we're adolescents morphing into the new people we're going to be. This growth spurt for humankind bonds us together like a high school class, all going through it together. The changes may be small, but there are so many of them that, by this time next year, some of us will be unrecognizable from the people we are right now!

It starts right at the top of the year. There's a heavenly Happy New Year card in the form of the Quadrantids meteor shower the first week of January, ushering in the truly unusual 12 months to come. For starters, it's extremely rare to have four solar eclipses -- and two lunar eclipses -- in the span of a single year. The solar eclipses will be like exams; the lunar eclipses, like homecoming games. In both cases, circumstances will call for us to put ourselves on the line, show what we know, push our skills to the limit and take full responsibility for the results. It will be like this for everyone ... but if the eclipse happens in your sign, you'll feel the effects even more acutely.

Jupiter continues the theme of rapid-fire change when it spends time in three different signs this year: Pisces, Aries and Taurus. Jupiter usually spends about 13 months in a given sign, but this year it's on a mission to make its presence felt in a bigger way, touching many areas of life. This planet of luck, abundance and augmentation will be in Pisces, the sign of spirit, until January 23, at which point it will move into Aries, the realm of the warrior. On June 5, Jupiter explores Taurus, where it will invigorate our financial picture for the rest of the year.

On March 12, rebellious Uranus marches from Pisces into Aries. This will speed up the action and raise the stakes on a personal -- and global -- level. Power goes to those who take it, so stand up for what's yours, claim your space and declare who you are to the world!

From April 5 through August 5, Neptune will visit Pisces, helping us express our spirit through the highest consciousness we can reach. Music, art, and prayer will be magic vehicles to wondrous places.
