Aligning with the Lunar Eclipse - June 26, 2010

Just a few more days until the lunar eclipse. A lunar eclipse is a full moon with firepower, a symbol of completion and a possible trigger of inner change or events in the upcoming months.

The Sun in Cancer of the eclipse suggests a deepening connection with and evaluation of our needs for nurturing, family and security. Emotional security or financial security, the family we were born into or the family we're creating, all deserve our creative, intuitive energy. Additionally we might look at nurturing our true selves, sharing with those we love and the need to take care of the planet. Cancer represents body centered intuition, knowing what we know through our feelings. It also represents our need to nourish ourselves with the food we know is perfect for our particular body. You might ask your body consciousness what is wants to eat before you open the fridge.

Because of the alignment of Mercury, planet of communication, with the Sun, the symbol of dynamic choice, the dialogue is opened another notch: what does true security means to us as we move through this summer? We will need to soothe ourselves through personal and verbal connection as we witness much change within ourselves and throughout the world. The feminine takes on more power as the need for care and tending for all beings becomes obvious.

The Moon in Capricorn of the eclipse augmented by transformative Pluto asks us to heal deeply ... to let go of emotional patterns that are rigid and blocking our true goals. We are transforming our tired defenses and wounded boundaries into emotional strength and clear soul-centered intention. On a cultural level, we continue the journey of Pluto in Capricorn's transformation of the role of big corporations and big government in our lives. Now we look more closely at how we feel blocked and discouraged to effect change while mustering the strength to work hard to create the changes required. Remember that the change we create internally affects the world. Starting internally and with your close personal relationships creates ripple effects for the greater good.

This eclipse is the warm-up to the Solar Eclipse on July 11th and the magnificent transformative pattern of July 31st, called the Cardinal Climax or Cardinal Square. This is the summer of radical change.

Some Buddhists believe our thoughts and actions are magnified 1,000 times on a lunar eclipse day and 100,000 on a solar eclipse day. If this is true, it's good to have these days on our radar so they're not the days we're cursing out others drivers or worrying about our bills.

So get ready now and be mindful and conscious of your power to manifest in alignment with the planets. The exact time is 4:31 am PDT early Saturday morning. Visualize a secure, love-filled life for yourself. Imagine this security and love permeating the planet. Hearts open, enough for everyone. Release any remaining thought or subconscious structure of the old paradigm where hard work for stern masters has kept us enslaved and depressed, consuming as a substitute for true heart felt joy.
