Angels, Why Wasn't I Told?

I am not a big fan of surprises. I had this crazy idea in my head that since I work for Spirit and give other people Angel insight and wisdom about their lives that the Angels would always let me know if something was going to happen. Well, that was exactly that; a crazy Christina idea.

Here is what happened. My husband and I went to exercise at a gym. He said he was feeling sick about five minutes into his workout and sat down. I saw he was sweating like crazy. We decided to leave early. I drove because he said he thought he might pass out. About ten minutes later, he all of a sudden stopped talking and started making gurgling noises. I looked over at him and he was having a seizure and then went limp. It looked to me like he had stopped breathing. About 30 seconds later he took a huge in breath and started speaking incoherently. I turned the car around and started heading toward the hospital. I pulled into an urgent care center, got help and he went to the emergency room by ambulance. He spent two days in the hospital and the closest thing to a diagnosis they could give us was that he was very healthy and no longer needed any of the five medications (for cholesterol, blood pressure, etc.) that he had been taking for almost 20 years. Taking the medication apparently lowered his blood pressure to a dangerous level while he was exercising. So it ended up being a great thing to find out in a horrible way.

After this happened, I was so upset with my Angels for not telling me this was going to happen. Surely they knew I was going to experience this! Why didn’t they warn me?

The answer I received was that we are to experience some things without warning; especially the things that cannot be changed. If there is something for us to do, our Angels will give us the heads up and it is up to us what we do with that message. Sometimes we recognize the warnings after the situation occurs. The Angels also reminded me that no one is more special than others. Just because I work for Spirit doesn’t make me at the front of the line to get different treatment. Everyone is treated the same. If they were supposed to get me a warning of what was to happen on my husband’s path, I would have been told. In this case, there wasn’t anything for me to do as it wasn’t a lesson for me.

I could have chosen to stay upset with my Angels but all that would have done was lower my energy and make me spiritually ineffective. I appreciated the message that this was something that my husband’s soul chose to experience. And that it was not a lesson for me. I understand clearer now that I will not always be told what is coming up on my path. And even if I feel what happens is a painful surprise, I will not think the Angels are allowing me to be hurt or choosing not to protect me.

Have you been unpleasantly surprised by something and feel like your Angels let you down? Consider letting them off the hook. Your Angels have no hidden agenda. They are a part of your own soul and cannot work against you. They have your best interests in mind. Your Angels may be silent sometimes but they are always looking out for you.
