Apologizing to Your Lover

Have you had a spat with your lover? Perhaps you're faced with repairing damage from saying the wrong thing at the wrong moment? Now's the time to find out how much help you can expect from the cosmos when it comes to apologizing.

Aries tends to forget what they've said in the heat of the moment, and fails to understand why anyone else should worry about what happened an hour ago -- let alone last week. They need to learn to empathize with those of a different temperament.

Taurus is normally the placid sort, but can become volcanic when upset. After all, they dislike saying sorry as they feel it puts them at a disadvantage. But they'll let actions speak louder than words, often offering a hug and a kiss instead of an outright apology.

Gemini can be careless with others' feelings and come across as too cool in their comments. Like Aries, they may not understand what all the fuss is about, so they won't necessarily leap to apologize. If they can learn to connect more with their heart -- and less with their head -- they'll likely see what the problem is.

Cancer so dislikes being hurt that they'll refrain from expressing their thoughts for fear of provoking a counterattack. But if and when they do go overboard in venting their gripes, they'll do all they can to get back to peaceful ground quickly.

Leo will try to shift blame elsewhere in an attempt to justify their foot-in-mouth comments. They aren't so great about taking responsibility for their own mistakes, so hopefully their lover knows them well enough to realize that it will take time for the Lion to admit they were wrong.

Virgo can be inordinately picky and doesn't always realize that what they consider to be a helpful remark can be taken by someone else as major criticism. Still, these people are soft-hearted behind their prickly exteriors and will make amends fairly promptly.

Libra hates an unpleasant atmosphere, and though they can be very analytical about their lover's shortcomings, they're routinely eager to smooth over hurt feelings quickly.

Scorpio doesn't amuse themselves by stirring up trouble. That said, they do like to get their own back, so a stinging comment may well be payback for an earlier argument. They might see saying sorry as a humiliation; if so, they need to lighten up and keep life moving by letting go!

Sagittarius is notorious for being bluntly outspoken, then finding out too late that their impulsive words have hit a sensitive spot. But the Archer is rarely, if ever malicious, so they'll surely attempt to make up for their thoughtlessness before long.

If there's a lovers' quarrel, Capricorn will bury themselves in their work. But the Goat certainly appreciates the security of an amiable partnership, so sooner or later they'll get around to muttering the right words ... but only if they're left with no alternative.

Aquarius can be unpredictably direct before turning stubborn about owning up to their insensitivity. They also enjoy creating mischief from time to time, and can deliberately provoke others just to get a reaction. Apologies from these folks may be slow in coming unless requested in a friendly fashion.

Pisces can be surprisingly brutal in their remarks when all their pent-up anger lets loose. Of course, they'll soon be so appalled at themselves that they'll rush forward with bouquets and boxes of chocolates to make everything right again.
