Our conscious mind always says "I want abundance, I want money, I want expansion." Yet, part of the "trick" to connecting with abundance requires that we make peace with our unconscious or nonconscious. If we harbor old resentments, or beliefs that we are unworthy on some level, then as we try to create, we have competing energies. We will experience fragmented results.
This is one of the reasons I always talk about becoming aware of our core issues. It is always the first thing I look at in a reading. The two or three things that keep showing up in our life. Either in our jobs, our relationships, and our bank account. The road blocks or punishing patterns that keep coming up, no matter how many times we change players, jobs or residences in our life.
If will we simply take the time to listen and look at what our life is showing us, we will see our core issues. From that point of awareness, we access our power. It doesn't stop there. From awareness we have to ask questions about when and why to source its origins in our life and body and dissipate energy once and for all.
Let me use an example from a reading I did recently. A woman was having a great deal of difficulty overcoming the loss of a relationship. I asked this person to explain to me whey she was in so much pain. Her response was "I feel rejected." I said "why do you feel rejected?" Her response was "I feel I am unlovable and will never be loved." From there I reminded her that we can never feel something that is not already inside of us. We tend to point the finger and say "if only so and so would do it differently I would be happy." In this instance, the dominating belief was if the man had not broken off the relationship, she would be happy. We cannot be happy from the outside in. Nothing from the external will ever ever ever make us happy.
In truth given that the man could not give her what she wanted or needed, spiritually he did her a kindness by letting her go, and free-ing her up to attract a new relationship. I reminded her that in higher conscious love is all there is. Love is the only constant in the universe. Source energy is in her DNA. She has love consciousness in her. She cannot be separate from love other than through her own choosing. That it is the perspective of the ego, trying to measure everything, and telling her she is unlovable. The ego is the small lens of life trying to answer expanded questions.

From that point, I has asked her to identify when she first felt unimportant and unlovable. After a few moments she realized that it began when she was about eight years old. She always felt she had to prove her value and worth. It wasn't enough that she existed. We forget and and are programmed to believe our value is earned when our value in truth is inherent. We are divine creative beings mighty and powerful just for being here on the planet.
All her relationships had been centered around proving and accomplishing. At the same time, her parents taught her not to trust. She had built a fortress around her heart, and in many ways she was unavailable. She consistently picked men who were also unavailable. They were perfect matches for her. Universe provides perfectly based upon our belief systems, and how we feel about ourselves.
The point of telling this story is to illustrate that we don't listen to ourselves. We do not take the time to hear our own information so that we can create what we say we want. In a period of 25 minutes, just by asking the simplest questions, we were able to get to the bottom of two of tihs woman's core life issues. Then we constructed a plan for reprogramming her mind to not only heal, but to embrace new thought patterns. We all need to do this. We live our lives on autopilot. If we truly want abundance and prosperity in our lives, we have to become engaged with ourselves. We have to take the time to ask the questions, to be intimate with ourselves, and then to be proactive about constructing the thoughts and behaviors that will bring us what we say we want.
There is an old saying "I'll believe it when I see it." The truer statement is "you will see it when you believe it." Prosperity is all about do you believe you deserve it? Can you trust in yourself and higher consciousness?
Ask yourself these questions. Take the time to answer them. If you need to do it with support or help, ask for that support or help. Do it. You will begin to experience and understand the art of receiving in your life.
