Astrology-based dishes may bring about optimal bliss. Depending on the planetary alignment, the Sun and the Moon, we can prepare delicious recipes to help the capriciousness of the Stars!

With Venus entering Aquarius this week and the New Moon on December 24th, it is a wonderful time to refresh our relationships with some quality time by doing something special for our loved ones. It is also time to discard that which is not working in our partnerships and focus on those things which help to stabilize our lives. Sharing a little red wine with friends will help you get started.

With Jupiter, the planet of expansion and good fortune, becoming direct on December 25, it is time to focus our thoughts and deeds on that which we wish for our lives. Is it more money? A better job? A more stable relationship? Take advantage of the generous energy the Universe will be sending our way. Also, make sure you prepare my Angel Food Cake, which is deliciously fit for divine creatures like you. Serve it with some strawberries and whipped cream and drizzle with a little Cointreau. You will be in heaven.

Angel Food Cake

1 1/2 cups Demerara sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup cake flour, sifted

10 egg whites

1/3 cup warm water

2 teaspoon orange blossom extract

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a food processor spin sugar about 2 minutes until it is  very fine.

Using an electric mixer for better results, mix the egg whites and the water until size doubles. While mixing, add the orange blossom extract and vanilla extract.

Slowly sift ½ of the sugar, beating continuously at medium speed. Once you have achieved medium peaks.

Sift the remaining sugar with the salt and the flour. Sift enough of the flour mixture on top of the peaks. Using a spatula, gently fold in the flour. Continue until all of the flour mixture is incorporated.

Using an ungreased Bundt pan, spoon in the mixture. Bake for 35 minutes before checking for doneness with a toothpick or skewer.

Let cool completely before removing from the pan. Serve with some fruit jam, ice cream or whipped cream and strawberries, drizzled with Cointreau.
