Autumn Equinox, the point exactly midway between the longest day and the shortest day, the balancing point as the Sun moves into the sign of Libra. We find ourselves in this energy today, combined with an emerging full moon.
A full moon always indicates a direction of warmth, the place where the sun is shining, opposite the lunar influence, the emotional place where our habit patterns are reflected to us in the sun's rays. Today, the degree or position of this light and reflection is the same as the Cardinal Climax alignment that was particularly strong on August 1st, but really is the astrological highlight of this year, and perhaps of many, many years.
Despite the theoretical ideas about what the Cardinal Climax means for the evolution of our planet, the main things I'm noticing in real life is that karma is speeded up and we're all processing lots of old emotions. Intuition is heightened and it's not easy to ignore the truth -- about ourselves or about others. Manifestation is rapid, good or bad, what we want or what we're afraid of. This quick manifesting also tells us the truth about our thoughts. We see how easily we fall into fear and discouragement. We learn how to find balance and harmony by changing our thoughts, words and expectations. Life in 2010 has become a bit like a biofeedback machine.
Today the Sun draws us to looking at the balancing of relationship energy in our lives. Saturn in Libra in the cardinal cross formation is hammering this lesson home for a couple of years. We'll have lots of opportunities to let go of the old patterns of relating, finding new partnerships or restructuring old ones to hold a higher vibration. Basically, we're working hard to improve all relationships.
The Moon asks us to let go of patterns of selfishness, moving too fast and insensitivity and instead channel that vital Aries energy into creative solutions to the challenges we face. We also ask ourselves the question of 'what do I really need to be in alignment with my soul's path?' 'how can I approach things in a fresh and new way?' and 'where do I give myself up to others in ways that don't do any of us any real good?'
As this full Moon squares to Pluto in Capricorn, a willingness to face truth will help us find the balance, and the opposite Cancerian soothing balm to all of this will be nurturing, love and compassion. And perhaps a delicious meal! We can give this healing love to ourselves, or we can give it to others.
As you feel within to your body centered intuitive wisdom, you'll know exactly what you need to do.
