Brad Pitt’s latest film made by his production company Plan B looks like going down in history as the most expensive disaster of all time. World War Z, a zombie epic, started with a budget of $125 million, seems to have escalated via rewrites and reshoots to somewhere above $400m. And reports don’t sound encouraging about it being a resounding success.
It started Principal Photography in early July 2011 just after that seriously difficult July 1st Solar Eclipse with the Cancer New Moon opposition Pluto square Saturn opposition Uranus; with Saturn trine Mars – so a Cardinal Grand Cross which tends to get pulled in different directions with recurring crises. Sun Saturn Pluto is very bleak hinting at mountainous problems with Mars trine Saturn much the same. Plus a head-in-the-clouds New Moon trine Neptune sextile Jupiter in indulgent Taurus.

Release has been postponed till June 21 2013 when there’s a Water Grand Trine of Cancer Sun (conjunct Jupiter in Gemini) trine Saturn trine Neptune. The Jupiter in there may help to lift the results somewhat.
But Brad Pitt’s own chart looks heavily challenged on the money front with his 2nd house Mars in Capricorn being assaulted by the conjunction from transiting Pluto, exact on release and repeating later in the year. Plus the highly insecure transiting Uranus square his Mars in the autumn and early 2014. With the enthusiasm, confidence and cash-squelching Solar Arc Saturn conjunct his Jupiter exact in four months’ time and even worse moving on to square his Mars exact in late 2013.
