Change- Across the Divide- Mutable Signs

We each deal with change and uncertainty differently. Some of us will intentionally navigate the uncertainty using the best and most positive aspects in out chart. However, during times of change and crisis we may unconsciously turn towards the shadow side of our Sun sign. Another approach might be to instead look at the sign opposite yours in the zodiac for clues to help you deal with the change.

Mutable Pairings

The strength of mutable signs is their ability to accept and adopt change quickly. Conversely their weakness is also to accept and adopt change quickly! During times of uncertainty, it is tempting to grab onto whatever change is floating past without stopping to think about the downstream impact. It is the in between times that are most unsettling for mutable signs- that period of waiting for something to happen.

As a triple Pisces, I am naturally quite flexible in my outlook. I don't, however, deal well with uncertainty and tend to escape- either physically by going away for a break, or virtually into either procrastination or over-doing food and alcohol. That is just me- you may have other ways of coping, or rather, not coping.

Having so much Pisces in my chart when the change actually comes, I just change swim lanes and power through with my eye on the horizon- that is until it is distracted by other pretty fish along the way. I will grab onto the slightest suggestion and go with it, without thinking about the potential outcomes. What I would be better served in doing is breaking down my journey to that endpoint, thereby limiting the potential distractions and providing me with bite sized achievements to keep me focused. In other words, use the details from my Virgo opposite to make the most of what is great about my sign.

Gemini is able to deal with so many pieces of disparate information and juggle multiple tasks. In his thirst for knowledge, he can, however, lose sight of the big picture. That is where the opposite partner Sagittarius comes into play. Sag vision adds fire, depth and meaning to Gemini's mental dexterity.

Sagittarius is honest, visionary, optimistic and full of integrity. During times of stress, he can be blinded by his own beliefs and become almost dogmatic in defence of the ideal. The Gemini lesson is one which encourages lightness and provides the tools for effective communication of the Sagittarian message.

Virgo has an enviable grasp of detail and the ability to control what is happening through breaking information and tasks down into bite sized achievable pieces. During times of change, she can become bogged down in the details and quest for perfection when it could help more to look towards Pisces- let go a little and just trust.

Pisces strength is in her ability to dream, trust and think that anything and everything is possible. During periods of uncertainty she can lose focus easily and become a master escape artist. During these times her judgement and intuition may be off target. Keeping one eye on the Virgo detail helps maintain focus and order and will help navigate into clearer waters.
