Change is the Only Constant as the Sun Enters Scorpio

The Sun enters Scorpio, the sign of transformation, on October 23. We've all been forced to flex our letting-go muscles since last October when Saturn first entered Scorpio. Now with Mercury Retrograde, the North Node and the Sun in Scorpio, it's a time for major shedding of what no longer serves us.

It may feel like everything is dying and changing so fast that there's nothing to hold on to. We're learning that the more we try to hold on, the more pain and resistance we'll experience as a result. It's like that old saying, "Let it go; if it was really yours it will come back to you; if not, it was never yours in the first place."

When the Sun enters Scorpio, our consciousness is turned towards darkness, shadow and all that is normally hidden or repressed. What deep, scary feelings must be dealt with if we are to evolve? Scorpio will not let you remain in the shallow water. We're all more apt to be natural detectives and psychologists under this influence as we seek to uncover that which requires digging. This is an important time of self-inquiry and working with our shadow. If you find yourself accusing others of ulterior motives, be sure to check your own agenda first.

What's most important during this time is that we get in touch with the deeper meaning behind what we do and what we say. It's easy to turn the psychoanalytic lens on others, but often it's simply just a projection of our fears and insecurities. Use the penetrating, no BS nature of Scorpio to turn the x-ray vision onto your own motivations now. What is it that you truly desire and how do you go about making that happen ?
