Okay Moms, the time has come. On your mark, get set, go! Put up the tree, take your little one to see Santa, write down everything your child wants, make cupcakes for the post-pagent party, find a new dress for the office holiday party, write out cards to every person you have ever known and make sure to have an adorable family photo front and center, the list will go on and on and on.
It is no suprise that this is the craziest time of year for moms and tots alike. Not only is the pressure on parents but children of all ages are innundated with materialistic messages about what they are supposed to want and the concept of keeping up with the Joneses is officially introduced to a five-year-old child.
Astrologically this year, we are contending with some heavey planetary alignments that are seemingly adding insult to injury. As a result, it is vital for you to learn to say no. December 16 is a New Moon in Sagittarius which will usher in all sorts of optimism about being super human enough to do everything that everyone wants. Don't take the bait.
Find the inner strength to just say no. No matter who wants what from you, take a moment to really examine if it is necassary or a nice to have. Wear the same dress to the holiday party as last year. Pick up cupcakes at the local bakery. Say no to a few holiday engagements; they will survive without you.
If you are sick this holiday -- trust me, you will be forced to say no. You officially have my permission to buck the cosmic trend and take care of yourself and your family first.
Happy Holiday Season :)
