Here’s a guide as to what to expect from life at specific ages, based on each planet’s cycle. Not every age links to a planet, but those that do are years in which you have special opportunities to grow and change. Looking at the guide below, you’ll notice that 36 and 42 are especially big years, as two or more planetary cycles align at that time.

Jupiter -- ages 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54, 60
Jupiter years are those in which adventure, travel and learning become most important. You’re itching for a fresh start and will crave excitement. These are ideal years in which to take that major overseas trip or finally get started formally studying your favourite subject. Jupiter helps you find your thirst for adventure and get out of your comfort zone. Try new things, meet new people and visit as many different places, near or far, as possible. Indulge your desire for the exotic! Jupiter’s full cycle is 12 years.

Saturn -- ages 14, 21, 28/29, 36, 43, 50, 57/58
Saturn years are those in which you have to grow up. Taking on responsibility is key, as is learning to say no to what doesn’t serve you. If you’ve been putting your faith in fairytales these are years that help you get back to reality and get grounded again. Hard work pays off as, under Saturn, you discover your strength to build lasting foundations. Expect to make big decisions around work, relationships and living arrangements. Saturn’s full cycle is 29 years, often broken down into 7 year intervals.

Uranus -– ages 14, 21, 28, 42, 56, 63, 70
Uranus years arrive with a desire for change. Chaos turns stable situations upside down, so you can see that there are different ways of living. Your inner rebel wants to run the show and commitment starts to feel restrictive. You’re restless and want things to be completely different from how they have been. You want freedom and the space to experiment. These are great years in which to get in touch with your unique individuality – being like everyone else starts to seem boring. Life can change unexpectedly in Uranus years, so adopt a spontaneous, playful attitude to make the most of life’s twists and turns. Uranus’ full cycle is 84 years, often broken down into 21 year intervals.

Nodes –- ages 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63
The hands of fate are at work in your life at these ages. The Nodes bring destiny into focus helping you see what your life is meant to be about. Major choices between sticking with what you know or heading off into the great unknown are likely. The more comfortable you are trying new things, the closer you get to living your truth. Node years are those in which you have the opportunity to realign the external expression of your life with your internal soul purpose. Let go of whatever doesn’t reflect your truth. Commit to professions, relationships or lifestyles that honour your beliefs. The Nodes full cycle is 18 years, often broken down into 9 year intervals.
