Do You Gloom or Glow in Winter?

Do you relish the prospect of wrapping up in winter wear and spending cozy evenings by the fire? Or you do fall into total gloom as the days grow shorter, the light dims and the temperature drops? Some signs adore the Sun, while others embrace winter's chill.

Aries really doesn't mind winter so much, since they've spent all the other months playing to their hearts' content. Once the New Year arrives, they know it's time to hunker down and focus for a bit.

Taurus is an indulgent and Fixed sign, so it takes them a while to acclimatize to a change of season. But once they begin to experience the heavier fare of winter, they find it satisfies them much more than the light grazing of the warmer months.

Gemini grumbles their way into the darker months, since it tends to pull them toward their less-positive perspective; they also know they'll be locked inside for weeks at a time. They don't really like New Year's celebrations, either, and really only start to blossom as spring comes into view.

Cancer just adores the notion of snuggling up on the sofa with the family and having plenty of homemade cookies on hand. Indeed, the cozy Crab won't complain over the winter months one bit.

Leo likes the idea of all the winter parties ahead ... but they still prefer the Sun and a good tan! They also realize the cold months aren't going to be a picnic, a notion that can cause a seasonal droop in their spirits.

Sensitive Virgo can feel weighed down by winter's short days, lack of sunlight and general slothfulness. They aren't necessarily beach babies, but they do appreciate nature and warmer temperatures.

Pisces are delicate creatures, and they shudder at the prospect of the temperature dropping precipitously. They eagerly await for their next birthday when they can cruise back into higher gear.

Libra tends to view the winter cycle as being too isolating and not conducive to their active, upbeat nature. Along with Aquarius, they can begin to sing the winter blues as early as late summer.

Scorpio and Capricorn both appreciate the relative darkness of the winter months for different reasons. Mysterious Scorpio adores the velvety feel of black nights and the promise of shaded corners; they feel they can play harder when there's less visibility. Capricorn, meanwhile, simply takes winter as an opportunity to start preparing their grand plan for the year ahead!

Finally, adventurous Sagittarius simply tosses the bikinis and surfboards into the closet and starts pulling out the ski boots and parkas. And when they can't be active, they'll be more than happy to curl up with a good book. These folks tend to stay optimistic, no matter what the season.
