From time to time, we all have a voice inside of us that can rock our confidence and send us into despair. When it comes to work projects, this little voice can send us way off track -- especially right now.
On September 17, 2014, Venus -- the planet in charge of beauty, art, and self-love -- will oppose Chiron, known as the “Wounded Healer.” With Venus in perfectionist Virgo, we're already highly self-critical, and critical of other people's work as well. (As an aside, you might feel pickier than usual when it comes to your lover's habits and ideas.)
But back to work. With Chiron bringing out old childhood wounds, you can definitely go into a state of fear and panic, especially if you have a deadline. The trick is to let yourself off the hook and push on with your work even if it doesn’t feel perfect just yet. Perfect is in in the eye of the beholder, just like beauty, and right now you’re probably being WAY too hard on yourself.
If you have a big dream, one that might take weeks, months or even years to carve out of the proverbial marble, try not to get caught up in minor details. Almost everything is a work in progress, and you're apt to take yourself out of your creative flow if you stop to listen to your inner critic for too long.
