Earn More and Stave Off the Winter Blues

If you're bogged down with work this holiday season, why not make the most of it? Put in the extra hours, impress your boss and fatten up your wallet. But earning more takes ingenuity and strategy, as well as some extra effort. How does your sign match up to the challenge?

The Cardinal signs -- Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn -- have bright ideas and a steady stream of inspiration. There is almost nothing they can’t make happen if they turn their minds to it. But it has to be a short term gain. Anything that takes too long they get bored and wander off to try again.

The restless adaptable signs especially Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius have a scattergun approach to finding new ways of earning. They’ll throw several schemes at a wall to see which sticks and then follow through on that. Indeed Gemini will probably juggle with six different potential projects for a while since they do like covering all their options.

Pisces needs help with this since left to their own devices they’ll drift around not knowing quite what to commit to. They aren’t short of ideas but they can never decide which one needs nailed down and put into gear.

The Fixed signs – Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius – aren’t short on perseverance but they can sometimes get stuck in their old rut and need a helping hand to jolt them into diversifying.

The signs with a reputation for laziness -- Taurus and Libra -- are also the most extravagant and indulgent so they really do need to wake themselves up in tougher times. They hate being deprived of their special luxuries so will stretch themselves.

The adventurous signs Aries, Sagittarius and Aquarius will waken up if they can see the challenge in it and turn it into a game with friends. Who’s going to make most surplus on the side by next month? That’ll get them going.

The ones who may do best are Virgo, Capricorn and Gemini since they know when the cash flow tightens that it doesn’t really matter what they do. They’ll toss pride to one side and get down to nitty gritty tasks if it’ll solve the problem.
