Enter Pushan, Guide of Souls

We are being led to new pastures at the new moon this Sunday April 3rd, 7:33am Pacific Time. The vedic lunar sign in which this new moon occurs is “Revati,” a sign linked to the vedic deity named Pushan. This gentle god is known for protecting travelers on their journeys, keeping roads safe, shepherding animals from pasture to pasture, and guiding souls to the afterlife. His energy is like the kind stranger you meet while traveling in a foreign country who walks you from the train station to your destination, just so you’ll arrive there safely.

With Saturn making a tight opposition, Pluto squaring, Jupiter making a tight conjunction, Mars and Uranus making a loose conjunction, and Mercury retrograde in the same sign as this new moon, many souls will be on journeys over the next lunar cycle. If you can avoid travel during this time, that might not be a bad idea. We may be seeing some outrageous gridlocks in traffic patterns, possibly due to mass, unforeseen migrations. Mechanical failures are also indicated. Logjams in communications may also occur as many voices try to speak at the same time, incited by a sense of urgency. Kind and protective Jupiter is watching over all this from a very strong position - the impasses are all somehow part of Divine Order.

During this new moon, Mercury, the planet of communication, is getting stuck over an ending point like a worn needle on an old record. We are eager to emerge into our new selves, but we will be unable to do so until we change our thoughts.

Since this new moon occurs in the vedic sign of Pisces, water is a focus. The Pacific Ocean in particular, is a major focus. Astrologically, water represents the emotions. Our emotional bodies are also being charged during this new moon phase. We get to decide whether we succumb to fear, anger, negativity, or whether we use the energy as passion to build new inroads for future travelers. We are conceiving these new inroads during this new moon phase.

Sunday morning is a perfect time to spend in meditation. New opportunities are being presented in the dark of this new moon. During the new moon you are birthing the new you in the dark waters of the unconscious – it’s not a time to try to strategize with your mind. You’ll need to use your intuition to follow the path of light.
