President Obama is looking increasingly enfuriated by the EU, whose indecisive leadership is threatening to drag the world economy down into another round of recession/depression.
The supposed save-the-Eurozone deal whose exact details and - more so - whose implementation never mind its' consequences were massively unclear sent the markets soaring. In part it depended on some leveraged magicking which as a German Central Banker remarked was what got the world into trouble in 2008. Great. What's that all too apt saying about Wall Street? There's a river at one end, a graveyard at the other and a kindergarten in the middle.
China looked on as the lender of last resort is understandably wary of throwing good money into a bottomless pit from whence it may never return and would probably demand silence on its human rights abuses amongst other things in return for any cash it may proffer.
China’s belligerent, ruthless Mars Pluto in Leo sits very uncomfortably in opposition to the EU’s Venus square the EU Moon and conjunct the EU Uranus – and that looks like a recipe for disaster. China’s Uranus also falls in the EU 10th conjunct the MC so would undoubtedly change the direction of the EU.

The relationship chart has an overly controlling composite Sun square Pluto and trine a needs-space Uranus. It is being jolted exactly now and is beset by confusion and a major blockage this November, which repeats on and off till Aug/Sept 2012. Tr Neptune is in an unhappy trine to the composite Saturn next year. Plus tr Uranus is still to make the final disruptive square to the composite Venus in Feb 2012 before both tr Pluto and tr Uranus collide forcibly with the composite Mars in 2013/14. So all of that looks like a major No No.
Obama’s relationship chart with the EU is showing signs of strain and separation with criticism and irritation mounting from mid November onwards, getting seriously chilly in December, is severely challenged over New Year and downright bad tempered in Jan/Feb 2012. [Though differences over Iran could be part and parcel of that as well as the EU approaching implosion.]
The USA’s relationship chart with the EU is showing coolness this month, and disappointment and major disruption through 2012.
None of the economic news from Europe is good from a US or anyone else’s viewpoint. Indications now are that the Portuguese economy is now heading into the death spiral which afflicted Greece before it pitched off the edge. Both the Portugal 1910 and 1974 charts are in dire trouble in the coming two/three years. The first glimmerings of cheer come only by 2015. The Bank of Portugal, 15 Nov 1975, is similarly afflicted until at least 2014.
The worry as the EU descends into an avalanche of defaulting countries is that the much larger Spain and Italy debt becomes unsupportable and unbail-able. The Bank of Spain, 2 June 1782, in panic at the moment is heading into meltdown in 2012 with tr Pluto opposition Mars and that rattles its way into 2013.
The Bank of Italy, 10 Aug 1893, is running into extreme deprivation territory with tr Pluto square Saturn and Solar Arc Pluto conjunct Saturn in 2012/13.
Greece which has been the trigger for this present round of panic attacks is running into a major cataclysm come 2012 on their 1974 chart with Solar Arc Mars conjunct Pluto and Solar Arc Pluto trine Saturn. And tr Uranus opposition Moon Pluto which sounds like an even more rebellious populace. It isn’t perking up quickly since there’s then tr Pluto opposition Mercury Saturn in 2013/14 which is similarly about hardship, deprivation and feeling trapped.
It is now coming apart at the seams with none of the rich emerging nations willing to throw money into the leaky sieve of the EU.
