EU pulling global recovery down

With the global economy creaking badly the main focus is still on the EU as the probable catalyst for a further downhill slide. And the omens don’t look good. The Greek second round elections don’t seem to have produced any sensible answers. And the very expensive piece of elastoplast which was flourished a few days back as the panacea for Spain’s catastrophic banking problem is doing nothing to foster hope or stability in the markets.

 

This was always going to be the month of Spain’s greatest pain certainly where the central Bank of Spain was concerned. Founded on 2 June 1782 it has Mars at 8 degrees Cancer inconjunct Pluto at 8 degrees Aquarius. So this month tr Pluto opposes the Mars with a total-suppression effect and tr Uranus is in the extremely insecure square to Mars and a disruptive sextile to Pluto.

 

Its misery will certainly not disappear in a puff of smoke with this bank bailout. Transiting Pluto continues on that grindingly negative tack till October 2013. And tr Uranus continues to jolt, jangle and unnerve on the BoS Mars and Pluto until January 2014.

 

The Bank of Italy, 10 Aug 1893, with Saturn at 9 degrees Libra not only has the deprived-hardship tr Pluto square Saturn in 2012/13. It also has tension-erupting Solar Arc Saturn square Uranus in 2012 and the must-change tr Pluto sextile Uranus. It gets worse into 2013 with the double whammy of Solar Arc Pluto conjunct Saturn with tr Pluto still square and tr Uranus in opposition to Saturn. So it is being rattled violently in a tin can going nowhere.

 

The Bank of Ireland, 1 January 1972 12 am, with its 9 degree Capricorn Sun opposition an 11 degree Cancer Moon (on the Midheaven) square a Mars opposition Pluto Ascendant has a fair ways to go to clear its feet of the punishing tr Pluto square Tr Uranus. It’ll be late 2014 before tr Pluto gets off the hard aspect to the Moon. By which time tr Uranus is starting to pick up the opposition to the BoIreland Uranus which also ties into the Sun Moon opposition on that chart. So it’s a tough decade ahead.

 

The Bank of Portugal, 15 Nov 1975, has Mars at 2 degrees Cancer square Venus Pluto 6/10 degrees Libra so it’s getting the panicky-failure tr Neptune trine Mars on and off in 2012 to late 2013. Pluto tr Pluto and tr Uranus both hitting on the financial Venus this year and then Pluto next year. With the shuddering-to-a-dead-halt Solar Arc Mars square Pluto and trine Neptune in 2013/14 so their forced austerity diet is clearly not working miracles anytime soon.

 

The ECB (European Central Bank) is feeling bullish at the moment with tr Pluto square and tr Uranus conjunct the Solar Arc Jupiter. Their reality check comes into unmissable focus 2013 with the panicky-failure tr Neptune square Mars – lasting through to 2016/17 since tr Neptune continues on to square Sun/Mars and then Sun in a continuous few years of downhill slide.

 

The Bank of England, 27 July 1894, looks chirpy by comparison. There’ll be a few humps, bumps and glitches ahead but nothing like as damaging as those above.

 

The Bundesbank (German central bank) is similarly in better shape. 2014 won’t be an easy year with some confusion from tr Neptune square Saturn; a setback or two from Solar Arc Saturn opposition Sun; but all of that will be offset by a glorious Solar Arc Jupiter conjunct Sun. So a little pain for a great deal of gain.

 

All the signs are that the EU car crash will come in early 2013 with repercussions right round the globe.
