I discover that a beautiful little golden-haired boy is my child. Someone else has been taking care of him for me. The boy and I are falling in love with each other. My family and friends are there with us and we all go get some ice cream. The ice cream is made into fantastic shapes like dragons and castles.
This dreamer is in a situation where she has given birth to a ‘golden child’ and hasn’t realized it. Golden hair symbolizes self-consciousness. When a young child has golden hair, it often symbolizes ‘the hero’ or ‘divine child’, a new potential of life and creativity that we have birthed. A child represents a new potential, and a boy child symbolizes the ability to manifest your dreams and visions of life. The young hero is the one who can bring about change in life, both personally and communally.
When the ego discovers a new part of itself, it is an indication of growth. When another part of the psyche – a shadow element – takes care of that new life, at a certain point the ego must recognize it, or it won’t be able to be integrated into the personality. This is what has happened to this dreamer. For a while, the new potential to act differently was unconscious or at least more instinctual. Then when the ego recognizes this new ability, the symbolic ‘golden child’ is ready to be integrated into consciousness. The dreamer and the boy fall in love with each other.
When the ego recognizes this new energy that already knows what it is about, there is a celebratory moment. Eureka! Something’s been discovered. That’s when her whole being – her family and friends – takes time to rejoice.
The fantastically shaped ice cream is a very personal symbol for this dreamer. She loves ice cream! And her fantasies (dragon and castle) are being set in the same mold as the sensual pleasure that she enjoys while eating ice cream.
I wonder what she’ll do with this new energy. If she takes care to nurture it, her life will change.
Until next time,
Sweet Dreams!
