"I have learned, that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours."
-- Henry David Thoreau
April is an exciting month, set off by the new Moon in Aries
that occurred on April 1 -- followed by the full Moon lunar eclipse halftime show that will happen on April 15. By month’s end, we'll have undergone a Sun-Aries conjunction (April 2), Venus and Mercury changing signs and/but still no sign of Mars going out of retrograde (not until May) in Libra.
What does this mean for artists? It’s definitely challenging everyone to find the balance between selfish endeavors and collaborative projects. It seems one doesn’t work without the other. It’s also a reminder for everyone to get in alignment, find the core of who they are and pursue their dreams in a conscious way. If you’re still playing an old tune or paying homage to stale fears, the world will find a way to wake you up (usually through less-than-pleasant means with a Uranus-in-Aries square Pluto involved!).
It’s a great time to jump into the ring and see what happens. It can be in a soulful way, so don’t feel like you have to create drama. And if you don’t know what the ring looks like for you, retrograde Mars and Saturn in Scorpio is providing a nice container for self-analysis and exploration to find out. Enjoy the ride.
There may be no truer words this month than “life is not a dress rehearsal.” Good luck and stay open! Even if the world tries to knock you out, it’s just evidence that circumstances are conspiring to get you back on track. And if you’re already doing your thing, it’s a time of miracles born through just walking your talk.
