Peel the bananas and cut them in two or three pieces, depending on how big they are. Stick a skewer in each and place in freezer for at least four hours to ensure they are as hard as possible.
Chop the nuts and set aside. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. If using the microwave, remember to warm up the chocolate in short periods of time to prevent scorching of the chocolate. Do so every 20 seconds and remove before all the chocolate has melted. Whisk well until it is creamy.
Remove bananas from the freezer and dip in the melted chocolate, then put over the chopped nuts to cover one side, or both, and stand them in a glass or place on a wax paper-lined tray. Pick the skewer and re-insert it in the freezer until the chocolate hardens more.
