Change is in the air as we greet the arrival of November’s second eclipse on the 28th. This time it’s a full Moon lunar eclipse in Gemini, the Twins. Can we face contradiction within ourselves or others, or do we choose one side and then blame the opposite?

This full Moon is joined with Jupiter in Gemini as well. How do we embrace our own inner Jeckyll with our own inner Hyde? This is a process we’ve been working at (consciously or unconsciously) over the past few years. Our inner tug-of-war of the opposites comes to a head now, and we’re ready for a complete metamorphosis of our minds.

The planet associated with this full Moon, Mercury, went direct in Scorpio on November 26, so we now have a grand opportunity to apply the lessons we’ve learned about confronting our fears over the past few weeks. Have we eclipsed the negative side of over-thinking things? The mind is the culprit for much of our pain.

In the tarot, nearly all of the swords cards in the minor arcana depict some kind of mental torture. This is because swords are of the Air element, as is Gemini, and connected to mental activity. The very nature of the mind is to doubt, question, second-guess and criticize. We may see that meditation is more essential than ever so that we can get some kind of control over our monkey minds.

No matter the method to alleviate an over-active mind -- walking, running, sitting still -- the less talking and mental activity, the better. We must find ways to still the mind in order to find inner peace in the coming days.
