Getting to Know Your Aquarius Boss

Aquarius is not like every other employee- he doesn’t usually aspire to be the Boss- his ambition lies elsewhere. He is more interested in making things better, in revolutionising whatever needs improving, in fighting for whatever needs fighting for. If that means that he has a team he has to manage, well so be it... but he would prefer not to accept that responsibility if he doesn’t have to.

If you do happen to report to Aquarius Boss, you will find a manager like no other. Yes, he will expect hard work, but in return he will treat you fairly, objectively and you will be paid at reasonable market rates- this is not a boss who will blindly comply with the horrible artificiality of the bell curve. He will not tolerate personality based decisions in the workplace, will prefer that messy emotional scenes are kept out of the office and will work tirelessly to promote equality and an environment which promotes and encourages freedom of thought, employee initiative and creative solutions to complex problems.

Whilst Aquarius Boss prefers to work independently, in order to achieve goals he will ask his employees to contribute to their own performance objectives. If you need to be provided with a clear set of tasks and direction, if you have no opinion of your own and if you like to bring your personal life to the office, it would be best if you arrange a transfer to another department as Aquarius Boss is probably not for you.

As with all things in life and astrology, there is a shadow side to every sign. In the case of Aquarius Boss he may be so used to flying alone that he has forgotten how to show or use human empathy. The result may be the opposite to the above- an ineffective, detached and self absorbed manager who leaves his employees with no guidance, no support and unreasonable expectations every time he decides at the 11^th hour that he needs the assistance of someone else in order to meet a deadline. It is at this point that free thinking creative genius becomes frustrating and dangerous loose cannon.
