If you have the Sun in Scorpio, some time over the next 2.5 years you will receive a transit to the Sun from Saturn.
Saturn transits can be hard- they always involve getting real about something- and getting real about stuff is hard.
But what if I were to say that in many ways Saturn transits, especially when it comes to the conjunction with the Sun, can be lucky?
Samuel Goldwyn was on the same page: “the harder I work the luckier I get.”
The message seems to be one of being prepared for luck. Luck is always said to be the gift of Jupiter, but these quotes all use words associated with Saturn.
Hard work, discipline, preparation, maturity are all Saturn concepts.
Whatever Saturn touches, he limits, or curbs. So when he touches your Sun, it might feel as though your light is gone. You feel tired, restricted and burdened. Yet, if you have been putting in the hard yards, this is a time when your ambitions can be realized.
The thing about this is that with success, you often have more responsibility and more burdens to carry. That’s Saturn.
How do you do this with reduced energy? You focus on what’s really important. You direct your resources only towards those efforts that are worthwhile and are already underway. You get real about it and you objectively and maturely decide that anything else is a distraction.
You apply patience, discretion, and above all, you don’t start anything new.
The last time that Saturn joined my Sun I was promoted. It was a huge promotion- and one I had been working towards for the last few years. I deserved it. I was prepared for it and I was ready for it.
I wasn’t ready for the exhaustion that came with the added commitments, but that’s all part of the Saturn story.
When Saturn joins the Sun, things that you have been working towards will either come to a successful fruition or they will fail.
If it’s the latter, the challenge is to objectively complete a root cause analysis and identify what can be salvaged in order to move forward.
Whichever way it falls for you, the key is to get real about it. When it comes to Saturn, there’s no point in holding on to something that’s no longer working, and there’s no point in resistance.
The Scorpio Sun can be extremely good at holding on to what should be eliminated, so at some point over the next 2.5 years, you will have to let go. The up-side to this is, Scorpio is extremely good at intensely focusing energy to achieve great things. Some time over the next 2.5 years, you’ll get the opportunity to put this into practice.
