Happier Being Single? Some Signs Are

You're bombarded every day by magazines and websites advising you on how to find your soul mate. But how honest are you with yourself about being single versus with a partner? After all, not every sign is delirious about being part of a perfectly matched twosome!

Virgo tops this list in terms of self-sufficiency -- especially women. They can be phenomenally picky about prospective partners, to the degree that they'll put off commitment for years and years. But they have to be careful not to lose touch with their earthy animal side, or they may end up perpetually alone.

Aquarius is next, since they're never happy within a claustrophobic partnership. Their motto is, 'Spread your favors and friendliness around -- the more the merrier!' They'll only agree to a match if they're sure there'll be plenty of space to remain independent.

Capricorn can be a bit like Virgo: a somewhat defensive workaholic unlikely to disappear into swoons of rapture about a blissful relationship. That is, until they fall rapidly and inexplicably into a romance that astonishes them -- and everyone else!

Pisces? Well, they adore the thought of a soul mate -- the search, the seduction, the whole dream factory. But when push comes to shove, they're never sure that what's being offered will match up to their 'perfect' inner vision. That said, Pisces needs a practical helping hand through life, so they're prone to settling for second-best just to get along.

Aries, Sagittarius and Gemini are adventurous signs that appreciate having a good mate to keep them company along life's paths. Still, given their propensity for having a low boredom threshold (especially males), they can change partners several times throughout life.

Cancer, Taurus and Leo are each security-conscious signs. They don't so much want a soul mate as someone to help set up house, help produce a family and offer stability. For Leo, this also includes status and an admiring audience.

Finally, the two signs most likely to desperately need another half are Libra and Scorpio -- though not for the same reasons. Libra is known as 'the relationship sign,' and not because these people are driven by matters of the heart. Rather, detached Libra is an Air sign, uncomfortable without another half to make them feel whole. Scorpio, on the other hand, is intensely emotional and requires an equally passionate partner with whom to share life; therein lies their bliss!
