Thus, I will share with you my extremely easy-to-make recipe of Hazelnut Chocolate Semifreddo. If you have a sweet tooth as loyal and demanding as mine, this will become one of your favorite recipes to make and have ready for a quick sweet bite. Best of all, it is lower in fat content, if you eat with moderation!
Hazelnut Chocolate Semifreddo
1 bowl Cool Whip, lite or sugar free
½ cup hazelnut chocolate spread
1 cup roasted hazelnuts, blanched
Butter a small loaf pan and line with parchment paper. Cut the paper in such a way so that it hangs over the pan; in other words, let it have flaps over the pan. This will serve to retrieve the semifreddo and to shape it nicely.
In a large bowl, lightly fold in all ingredients. Do not overmix. We want a marbled appearance with large pockets of the hazelnut spread mixed with the roasted hazelnuts.
Pour into to the pan and fold in the flaps of the paper over it to cover. Freeze for at least five hours or overnight. Remove from the pan and slice. Serve alone or with the topping of your choice, like melted fudge or more whipped cream.
