High Tide: Cancer and Stress

 The Crab has it tough…real tough. Every day you climb out of your shell and head off into the big bad world where big bad world stuff happens.

Your days are spent looking after your work, the employees under your care and then you come home and have to look after someone or something else. It’s exhausting having so many responsibilities. And in Cancer, that exhaustion and worry tends to find itself causing problems with your digestive system and that sensitive tummy of yours.

Whether or not you are an actual mother, you are mothering something…always. It may be running kids around to a multitude of activities, doctors appointments and supervising school work. It might be taking care of your own business. Perhaps your day starts when the normal work day ends. Regardless of whether you are cooking for someone else, nurturing someone (or something) else…who looks after you when the stress hits?

Look to the 2^nd house to replenish your personal energy stores. Look to Leo.

Leo is about the self, creativity and self expression- all things that Cancer rarely has time to consider. The lesson, Cancer, is to take time out for yourself- no one else will do it for you. You may say that you are “fine”, but we know that isn’t always true…we also know what “FINE” as an acronym often means... Occasionally, Cancer, you need to make it all about you.

This can be as simple as getting together with friends to organise those family photographs, perhaps it is a few hours in the middle of the day to sneak in a manicure or a haircut. Maybe it is letting someone else do the cooking for once. Possibly it is a catered picnic, or a day spent wandering about with a camera being creative for its’ own sake. Perhaps it is going on an all inclusive holiday where someone else does the looking after….

I know what you are saying Cancer, why pay someone to do what you can do cheaper? Why pay for a meal that you could cater yourself cheaper and with less fuss? Why shop designer when you can buy three on discount and could use the money to purchase that dress that you just know your daughter has had her eye on for her formal dance. But you know what? Sometimes it just needs to be all about you- you are worth it.
