What’s the first day of the year for, if not to get started on fulfilling a few of your health resolutions? So on the 1st, get started! By the 2nd, you’ll already have a welcome sense of accomplishment. On the 5th, why not take advantage of how great you feel to think a little bit about your health? It’s always easier to be positive about changes you could make when you’re already feeling good — though it’s human nature to wait until there’s a problem to start to look at how and what you could change. Give a more proactive, prophylactic, positive approach a try, though — especially on the 8th. On the 12th, make a list of everything you’ve done right as far as your diet, exercise, stress management and emotional life. On the 14th, think hard about how each of these things you do right actually makes you feel better. On the 19th, give yourself a nice time-out nap. Then go back and focus on anything that has to do with improving your health. On the 22nd, start looking at what you might be doing less than perfectly. Do you let too much stress build? On the 27th, focus on the emotional. Jog on the 31st.
