Alrighty! It’s a new year on the 1st. Whoopee! But wait, what does that mean, as far as your health and fitness? It means you have a terrific opportunity to start all over again. Whoopee! Yessiree, you can forget last year, and start from scratch. (Ok, so you’ll be building on the hard work you did last year, and working to counteract your slippages, but think: Start fresh). So, what do you want? More energy? To lose weight? To gain weight? Whatever it is, spend some time on the 5th thinking about it. Spend the 7th implementing a few health improvement strategies. On the 13th, you find it easier to let go of a bad habit (eating deep-fried donuts when you’re stressed?) thanks to your health improvement efforts. On the 17th, take control. This could mean finding somebody professional to help you. Or it could mean buying a few books with ‘better living’ tips. Or it could mean just plain going for a run, even if you’re feeling lazy. On the 21st, you need to give yourself time to rest up. On the 26th, take a step back and look honestly at how things are going. On the 31st, direct some of your caretaking impulses towards yourself!
