How to Deal with a Flirty Boss

Office party time is here again and you’re nervous about your boss having a few too many and getting flirtatious with you. Can you avoid their advances without spoiling your promotion prospects for next year? Explore their Sun sign and learn how best to avoid the drama. [Note: Oddly enough, the naturally flirtatious signs -- Gemini, Aries, Sagittarius, Aquarius -- are probably the easiest to handle!]

Gemini is chatty and often on the prowl, so if you can keep up with their witty repartee and avoid being cornered, they’ll eventually amble off elsewhere.

Aries loves a challenge, so best that you don't get flustered by their advances. Stand up to their banter and be reassured that their attention span is short. If you’re not willing to be a conquest for them, they’ll move on quickly.

Sagittarius and Aquarius like to be friendly once they step out from behind the director’s chair, so don’t misread their overtures as anything too sinister. They may have a mischievous sparkle in their eye but they won’t take rejection badly as long as you make it funny.

Virgos can be very pushy, so unless you’re up for a high-risk fling, make sure you avoid them at all costs. Luckily, they’ll probably make a move on just about everyone at the party, so it’s a question of your staying under the radar. Taurus can be a handful since they’re indulgent, highly tactile and a bit power-hungry. They may see an amorous rejection as a sign that they aren’t in charge. A flat-out “no” might make them angry, so slip out of the party when they’re not looking.

Libra will sweetly and persuasively make it difficult for you to do anything but stand there being deluged with compliments. That said, they most likely have other romantic prospects in mind, so anything less that swooning from you will encourage them to move on.

Capricorn has a strong sense of place in the pecking order, so although they might stare longingly at you from across the room, they most likely will not risk losing face by making themselves look foolish.

In this type of situation, Leo is a problematic sign. Their ego is wrapped up in being adored. The same goes for the Water signs –- Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces -– who will take a rejection very personally. These signs are best backed away from with a readymade excuse: “If I didn’t have a boyfriend” etc. As long as they don’t take it personally, you’ll be able to dodge the drama.
