I'm no longer an Aquarius? What?

I'm a Capricorn now? I thought I was an Aquarius? I'm nothing like a goat! People are now all thinking this in lieu of the shocking news found on sites today such Gawker and LiveScience. These articles claim that due to the moon's affect on earth, our planet actually does a wobbly-woo during it's navigation around the sun. Making it a little off, pretty much, by one sign. Yep, that's right, folks. New research now indicates your sun sign is no longer what you thought it was. Facebook status messages pour with comments such as "This changes EVERYTHING! How am I a Virgo? I'm not anal-retentive!" Just like when Pluto got told it wasn't a planet anymore, we need to pause for a moment and take a deep breath.
Remember when this passionate planet got debunked from being a planet, we didn't toss it to the curb. We rationalized. Even though it's not a planet, just like the moon, it's a mass of energy that still carries energy. Engery that was associated with behaviors over time. A bunch of people are freaking now when they don't need to be. Astrology is a behavior science from earth's perspective. It relates to behaviors on earth during the different seasons of the year. It's more of a science based on notions of cause and effect that are repeated and validated by more than one person. I know soooo many Aquarians who are vegan, environmentalist-types. I'm now suppose to believe that they are power-mongering, business-oriented Goats?
Hmmm. I don't buy it. Plus, the system of astrology we use today is based on certain zodiacs that were coded by Greek astronomers, not Babylonian. In addition, let's think about something else, that's already been known, too. When it comes to your daily horoscope, don't you think we should be reading or watching our Rising sign (aka) Ascendant? I do! For a true and more accurate interpretation of your daily horoscope, find your Rising Sign and follow it for a bit. And try not to worry too much right now about what scientists are saying. Find how Astrology is working for YOU.
If it's always been easy to link predictions to actual events using your sun sign, continue to follow that. If you've been reading your rising sign like me, and it works, continue that. If you feel your "new" zodiac sign coincides more. You just may even want to give that a whirl! Astrology is a psuedoscience, and by most people, it is more often than not, a guidance to follow that's FUN! Let's not freak out like it's the end of the world. Take this time to reevaluate and find what works best for you.
