Is Jay-Z the Next Martha Stewart?

Jay-Z is successful in all that he does, from recording music to producing music to marrying the beautiful Beyonce. Recently, the music mogul surprisingly ventured into Martha Stewart territory, launching a lifestyle site called Life + Times on April 5. Will it prove to be yet another win for Jay-Z, proving he has the Midas Touch?

Debuting under heavy Aries influences in Jay's Fifth House (he's a Sagittarius), which is his creativity sector, Life + Times couldn't have asked for a luckier streak of aspects behind it: There's an Aries Sun, a new Moon in Aries (which signifies new beginnings), Mars (the ambition planet) in Aries and Jupiter (the luck planet) also in Aries. The only pesky issue could be Mercury: The communications planet -- and essentially the most important planet to have on your side for a publishing debut -- was retrograde at the time of the website's launch. That means the longevity of the site is not a sure thing; while it might make a strong splash initially, there are no guarantees it will able to sustain a core audience's attention.

When the aspects change to more Earth elements from June through the rest of the year, that will be more telling of the site's fate, as it'll be then under Jay's routine house. From there, it will be sink-or-swim time. Chances are good the site will endure for longer than expected, but its hype may be its biggest ace in the hole.
