Kate and Sam: What Happened?

News of Kate Winslet and her director husband Sam Mendes breaking up was so sudden, it has been sending shockwaves throughout Hollywood. Seemingly one of more stable couples in the industry, even working together on Revolutionary Road, no one saw this coming.

Sad to say, the planet to blame for this is Saturn. Known as the taskmaster planet or the father planet, Saturn makes change happen. Since it recently went into Libra in late October 2009, it most likely coincided with Kate wanting a complete transformation of herself and recreation of her life, as she is triple Libra -- Sun, Rising and Moon. This means her basic foundations, her image and her emotions are all going through a shakedown and causing restlessness; needing challenge and change.

Chances are, Kate initiated this divorce and through the next year will be going through many other new major shifts. Meanwhile, Sam is a Leo with a Libra Moon; he most likely will remain consistent and, as Leos are want to do in times of pain, he’ll dive completely into his work.
