Is Keanu Truly “Sad”?

In recent months, Keanu Reeves has spent plenty of time circulating the Internet in the viral meme “Sad Keanu,” Photoshopped variations of a paparazzi photo of the actor eating a sandwich on a park bench. Though the Internet phenomenon has become humorous -- even to the actor, who recently learned about it from New York magazine -- is there any truth to him being sad or is the Henry’s Crime star (who seemed to crack a half-smile this past weekend at the Marrakech 10th International Film Festival) just a complex, brooding actor?

Keanu is a double Virgo, with a Moon, Venus and Mars in Cancer. These are both critical signs, with Virgo being the sign that rules it. These signs do not put on a happy face, as they are all about playing on the defensive. Cancer is the sign of protection and seeing that Keanu’s Venus (ruler of the senses), Moon (emotional ruler), and Mars (drive) is ruled by it, it means he feels safer retreated from society and keeping his emotions intact as his way of coping with fame. Chances are he isn’t exactly this melancholy character painted by the media as of late, but it’s not like he is the life of the party either. With a Gemini ruling his mid-heaven (the aspiration point on one’s chart), he is a guy with two sides and only when you get to know him does his reveal his true self.
