Let's Raise a Glass to the New Moon

Every New Moon has its own unique flavor and if I was to describe this one like a fine wine I may say: earthy, refined, smoky, intense and complex. Earthy because the Moon finds itself in the sign of Virgo, a sign known for it's humble and refreshing rootedness in world of reality; refined because Virgo has particular and exquisite taste and with the New Moon's close proximity to Venus, we may be seduced into indulging those tastes just because we are so in tune with what we adore in this often luxurious and beautiful world.   With the Moon in this earth sign we can tighten our purse-strings if need be (the Virgo in all of us knows exactly what the budget is and is willing to go without just to show off our survivalist brawn)  though Venus will oh-so-innocently seduce us to open our wallets for those things that are "sooooo practical and beautiful, how can we afford NOT buy them?" Smoky because across the sky will be the Neptune, the dreamer and the surrealist adding a whimsical touch to our otherwise earthy, full-bodied glass of high-priced vintage. Intense because of the trine to Pluto, which adds a robust emotional realism. We will feel this one going down our throats ... and if that sounds a little uncouth, remember we are talking about Pluto and he doesn't like to pull his punches and actually quite enjoys making us go hmmmmm. So don't go pulling your punches either. As above so below, remember? This is a day to commit to what you find yourself dreaming about and back it up with the commitment and inimitable discipline that Virgo lends us. And finally complex, because there is a lot going on with this New Moon and we don't want to miss all the notes that are swirling around for our pleasure and opportunity.  And like with any New Moon, we are at the precipice of a new cycle of energy for the month. Make this one count. Clear your mind, open your heart, use your good sense and step into the flow ...NOW IS THE TIME. Drink up!!!
