When the planet of love and connection moves into the cozy and nostalgic waters of Cancer on July 18, our love of nesting comes to the fore, as Cancer rules the home and our roots. Family themes abound for the next few weeks -- for better or worse. We may notice more emotional drama now that we're all feeling a little touchy-sensitive and wanting to retreat to our little protective shells. The need to feel protected, nurtured, nourished and well fed is primary under this influence.

We're more sensitive to connections from the past, and may glamorize the nostalgia. We may long for childhood memories and comfort foods like crazy, due to their emotional associations. We also crave sweet and gentle feeling conniptions with others. We may even find ourselves longing to surround ourselves with beauty from long ago.

It feels good to reconnect with those we adore from our personal biography. Whether blood or friend family/tribe, the need to feel part of our clan is stronger than ever now. It feels good to cuddle up at home with our loved ones and take shelter from the madness of the outside world for the next few weeks.

We're more sensitive and prone to take things personally under this influence as well, so watch your energy. This is an excellent time to make our homes our nests and spend more love and attention on beautifying our cozy cribs. Our connection to women and the nurturing females in our lives is also fulfilling now.
