Lunar Eclipse In Aquarius, In The Seventh House: Absence

by Matthew Currie August 03, 2009 07:37 PM EST
On a purely scientific level, a lunar eclipse is no big deal. It's merely the result of the occasional intersection of two ellipses, where the light of the Sun is blocked by the Earth, darkening the Moon. Astrologically, it's never just an eclipse that does anyone good or ill. It's merely the trigger... the straw that broke the camel's back. Or sometimes, it's the one shot that puts your team over the top when you've spent the entire game trying to win. At least, that's the approach I take to them. You can't really blame an eclipse for this or that: it merely brings all the other transits and progressions to a point. And, like the fuzzy shadow an eclipse itself casts, it is a distinct point in space and time... and yet it casts its influence all around it.
At the same time, on a purely emotional level, one can still feel an eclipse happening. Maybe, on one level, we're no wiser than the ancients banging drums and shouting to make that Dragon stop eating the Moon. Nonetheless, we respond to an eclipse, whether we want to or not.
Want to know where the Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius is going to hit you? Check your gut. Especially if that eclipse falls in your Seventh House, and there have been long silences from the one you love... or if there is a yawning void in your life where someone who loves you should be. And don't be afraid to address that silence, or that void, in any language you think it will understand.

I stand and waitfor a messenger who never comes.Where there were once loving wordsthere is now a Moonlight Sonata of silencesI am left alonewith only fear to converse with.
I stand and wait.A mind evolved to seek partnershipsits alone in darkened jungle, straining at the even the slightest sound, imagining tigerswith yellow hungry eyes.
I stand and waitnot knowing where you have gone. This handful of jumbled emotionsIs pretty useless company, overall. They have no meterand dance to no beat.
I comfort myself with understandingbut I'd rather have You.
