Madonna, the queen of reinvention, is at it again. News has broken that the pop superstar and occasional actress is now intent on becoming a director. Having already shot a short film, which debuted at the Berlin Film Festival in 2008, and produced a 2009 documentary about the nation of Malawi, Madonna’s new project would be her first full-length film. Her topic of choice: the love affair between Britain’s King Edward VIII and American socialite Wallis Simpson.

While Madonna bombs as an actress, astrologically she has a good chance of success as a director. Being a Leo, she innately has a performer’s mentality and an ability to work easily on large-scale creative projects. However, it’s her double Virgo (ascent and Moon) that make directing right up her alley, because she’ll have a fine eye for detail and an instinct for consistent storytelling.

In addition, the planet of transformation has recently entered the house that rules the entertainment industry in Madonna’s chart, which means that a change in her role is prevalent -- all of which points to directing as a viable new career direction.
