The Scientific Method is in, Xanax is out, Xena is always in on the fringe, Kaku is definitely in, and the unusual suspects get a hybrid facelift. Shirley’s role is revisited, Anne is spelled with an "e," of course, and Jane gets much overdue credit for the Good-of-all.
Napoleon goes "unplugged" and gets a new rap, and Christ. Columbus is rediscovered along with Chichen Itza's alieNation (en route by Inquisition from Havana through Maria's treasured remains) intriguing us again by Red Beards arrival and the promised return of a "new do" -- a.k.a the white haired helmet head; Kukulkan.
Goths, Barbarians and Moors, oh my! Other ancient Red Heads meet Siberian huskies and Great Caesar's Ghost in China dusting off politically correct or holy origins in the decent of man and revealing a "what's Mayan is Your'n" indigenous plaid interlink that leaves DNA laughing while you're away. Retracing baby steps erase old linear tracks of isolated pure thought in human evolution and migration between South, East, North, Middle and West to expose Central new axis patterns which reveal us all to be relative mutts at heart. "Zowie!"
In the "end," Pigs fly, hope floats, Disco lives, nine really is a magic number, and all roads do lead to (and from) Rome like a virus -- spread out by 6 degrees of separation (or less) from "Kevin Bacon."
What does it all mean for 2012? By making ready for our close up, an apocalypse of the occult ultimately defines this Katun to unite the arts and sciences by happy surprise, shared information, mutual imitation, and bio-mimicry to produce a radically simple reinterpretation that provides a second and third chance all around.
So reuse and repurpose what you've got, duct-tape it, or conjure your own Patronus again to make it work -- and lighten up or paint it black, for Stones still roll where anachronisms and oxy-morons meet to naturally reveal The Third Man of enduring truth by irony -- opening access by the next generation to our own small world after all.
But remember, no matter how you spell it, to Observe is to Participate, and like a Busby Berkeley show-stopper in the musical geometry of a living kaleidoscope, the self-generating, unfolding choreography and recycling patterns are all about strength and beauty in numbers, relative perspective, reflected space-time symmetry, and staying true to a meaningful vision. And of course, having a big enough stage (or ancient stone calendar) so that otherwise seemingly incremental progress, negative space, or simple/chaotic movements by the many carry off the multi-layered synchronicity of such flowering splendor as to affect visible glory.
