Movember by Sign

 If you're single and looking, then you may have been noticing a lot of guys sporting 70's-looking porn-star 'staches in the bar scene as of late. I met a guy last night who looked less like a porn-star and more like Stanley Tucci's character from The Lovely Bones. He even had a notebook! I commented that if I opened it up and found a floor plan of a basement design, then we'd have a serious problem. I was playing with him, of course. But, if I didn't know about the Movember campaign, then I would seriously be concerned. His pencil 'stache was uber creepy! Lucky for him, I have had this awareness for the past few years ever since a trip to Ireland. Every November, thousands of men all over the world help raise funds for charities that support mens health, specifically prostate cancer. 

If you're one half of a couple, ladies, then encourage your sweetie to support the cause. Take a look at these designs that would be suitable for your sweetie according to his sign!

 

Aries

The toothbrush- A thick mustache, shaved to be about an inch wide in the center. Both Hitler and Chaplin, sported these mo's, and both men have Aries sun signs in their natal chart. Only a bold Ram could pull this off. 

Taurus 

The Handlebar-A handlebar mustache can be worn large or small ("petit handlebar"); it is characterized by the fact that it is bushy and must be worn long enough to curl the ends upward, which is usually achieved with styling wax. Double Bull, Daniel Day Lewis sported this Mo in the popular movie Gangs of New York and kept it for awhile afterwards!

Gemini

The Painter's brush- A thick mustache covering the width of the mouth, usually worn short, with slightly rounded corners. Burt Renyolds dons this stache and has Gemini Rising!

Cancer

The Lampshade-A mustache similar to the "painter's brush," but with corners angled slightly, resembling the shape of a lampshade. For the domestic reference alone, this one's a great choice for Cancer!

Leo

The Horshoe-A full moustache with vertical extensions grown on the corners of the lips and down the sides of the mouth to the jawline, resembling an upside-down horseshoe. The whiskers grown along the sides of the mouth in the horseshoe are sometimes referred to as "pipes." Not to be confused with the "fu manchu" which is grown long from the upper lip only-- the sides remain shaven in the fu manchu. Fellow Leo, Hulk Hogan made this one look popular. The lion can bravely pull it off!

Virgo

The Walrus- A large, bushy, droopy mustache that hangs down over the lips, often entirely covering the mouth. Sam Elliot does this one justice! He has Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter all in Virgo!

Libra

The English-_A narrow divided mustache that begins at the middle of the upper lip, with long whiskers pulled to either side of the center. The areas beyond the corners of the mouth are typically shaved. This one takes time and effort for it's beauty. Libra loves take his time getting ready, so this one would be best!

Scorpio-

The Fu Manchu-A mustache that begins on the upper lip and whose whiskers are grown very long to extend down each side of the mouth to the to jaw. The areas just past the corners of the mouth are shaven, thus differentiating this style from the "horseshoe". This can be really dramatic depending if you're hair grows really fast. The more dramatic the better for Scorpio, so let it go!

Sagittarius

The Imperial-A large mustache growing from both the upper lip and cheeks, whiskers from the cheeks are styled pointing upward. This is great for Sagittarius's Jupiter-like round face. 

Capricorn

The Cevron- A thick and wide mustache, usually worn long to cover the top border of the upper lip. Tom Selleck who has Mercury, Mars, and his rising all in Capricorn, made this one popular in the 80s. 

 

Aquarius

The Pencil Look-A thin, narrow, closely clipped mustache that outlines the upper lip. Pencil style mustaches can be trimmed in different manners (see below). Also sometimes called a "mouthbrow." Fellow Aquarian, Clark Gable, made this one popular. Even if you look a bit odd with this one, that'll be right up you're alley. Only the eccentric-type can pull this off now-a-days. 

Pisces

The Dali-A narrow mustache with long points bent or curved steeply upward. Named for artist Salvador Dali. Since Pisces is an artistic type that's usually trying to escape into fantasy, this one's a perfect fit!
