New Moon in Aquarius: Give Back to the Community

The new Moon in Aquarius on February 9 is a reminder to step outside of our own little narcissistic worlds and think about what might be beneficial for the larger whole. How can you better support your community or tribe? If you don’t have a larger group to which you belong of like-minded individuals, this is an excellent time to plant the seeds to find one or start your search under this auspicious lunation.

A nice bonus of this new Moon is that it will also be joined with Venus, bringing sweetness into the mix. Aquarius rules the sign of friendship and our everything-we-want-to-do-before-we-die goals. Give extra time and attention to friendships and groups. Allow your altruistic and humanitarian nature to shine. The less you think of how an action or idea will benefit you personally and more about how it might serve a larger cause, you’re on the right track.

It’s easier to go beyond our own selfish needs and desires now, and think about helping humanity on a larger scale in general. Any intentions or projects that you begin in relationship to any of these humanitarian themes have special power now. It’s all about good and pure intention. When you let go of any self-serving or petty interests and think about the bigger causes, the small stuff miraculously takes care of itself. Plus your self-esteem and sense of nobility will skyrocket as a result. Think outside of the me, me, me box and watch your happiness quotient quadruple!
