Office Snitch- How is your rating?

I recently wrote about Mercury in Leo. In that I mentioned how Leo really dislikes gossip- way too undignified. But not everyone follows this example.

At one point I thought that a busy heavily populated office was required in order for gossip to flourish...not the case. Gossip seems to be at its meanest & most hurtful when people simply don’t have enough to keep them occupied or when positions are perceived to be under threat.

I have recently come to the conclusion that none of it is helpful, all of it divisive and all of it unproductive. So here are some sweeping and unashamedly clichéd statements-but before disagreeing, think closely and honestly.

As a Pisces, I absolutely admit that my snitch rating can be off the scale when necessary. I don’t do conflict well, so tend to be a defensive snitcher and can be very much the underwater stealth bomber type- you generally won’t see it coming. With Mars in Scorpio, I can quite easily wait for the weak points in the snitcher to be exposed.

In fact, water and earth signs tend to be defensive snitchers, leaving air and fire to take the offensive. Scorpio is an absolute master and top of the defensive game. She is perfectly happy to lie in wait for their prey to break cover. Nothing else needs saying. Cancer will brood and retreat to think about what should have been said, but falls way short of her watery cousins.

Air signs are pretty good on the snitch scale generally. Libra prefers not to damage her nails too much. A well placed instant message here and there often does the trick and someone else will get caught back-stabbing.

Gemini has an absolute way with words and if bored can do some pretty interesting damage with all of the trivia they collect on others. Aquarius can detach and strike with icey precision- but only if he is sufficiently interested.

Virgo is able to file away information for later use, and can drag out full records of how many hours you haven’t done that week. Supporting evidence can’t be rated highly enough, and Virgo can wear their opponents down with data. Taurus generally can’t be bothered and Capricorn is careful not to embarrass themselves before those who should be impressed. The connections of the snitchee are carefully considered before she joins in on any gossip fest.

Fire signs are least impressive and prefer direct action to back-stage rumours. Aries doesn’t have the attention span to hold a really good grudge. Sagittarius will generally just say what he thinks and then tear off to his next adventure. Leo has way too much generosity of spirit, despite having a temper that would put a toddler to shame- that is, unless his pride is damaged...

So, how do you rate...hand on heart honestly? Consider also where your Moon is- you may be a combination of a couple of snitches. Me? I’m trying very hard to resist the temptation to make a retaliatory strike, so am taking a leaf out of Leo’s book and practicing dignified silence...
