“When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly.” - Edward Teller
Re-envision! Re-Vamp! Re-do! If you've heard this inner call, you may be more in tune to the planetary energies than you think. As messenger planet Mercury spins in retrograde, it's a great time to re-consider how your inner world can support your outer world and vice versa. If you've felt at the mercy of random chaos, you're not alone. Mercury has been retrograde in the sensitive, healing sign of Pisces since February 23rd and remains here until March 17th, causing the little things to go "wrong" leaving us scratching our heads. In addition, Saturn, the planet having to do with work, reality and structure, also spins in review-mode retrograde until July 7 (!) in the purging and transformative sign of Scorpio. Meaning in our real lives? It's an especially ripe time to re-envision and re-vamp your space while the cosmos give us a little personal time-out. We want to make sure there isn't anything hanging around - whether that's material or emotional clutter -- that isn't helping us move forward.
While it can feel like a cosmic bowling ball striking our nuts and bolts, it's a great time for cleaning our mind, clearing our space and reviewing energies from the past which may have gotten stuck. Both Mercury and Saturn are in water signs symbolizing the need for emotional release and healing. While you may shy away from the quiet and discipline required for the inner reflection and purging these planetary periods crave, why not work from the outside in? The Universe really doesn't know the difference; commitment to one area of your life can't help but trigger movement, change and improvement in another department.
With Venus -- the planet of all things love and relationship -- hovering so close to Mercury and training hat retrograde Saturn, an astrologer may tell you to focus on your most personal of items and spaces. That may be your bedroom, your personal notes and letters or the quadrant of your room, according to the guidelines of feng shui, corresponding with "love and marriage." It's best to trust your gut as far as what may need some releasing or attention as using your intuition is an important part of this purging process.
You could be surprised by the creativity and romance unleashed! Take simple steps such as clearing your clutter or re-defining your space with personal symbols of romance or visual reminders of you're trying to consciously cultivate in your life. Venus is acting as our interior muse, whispering words of romantic encouragement and fresh ideas about how to bring more of what we value in our lives.
