Pre-Holiday Wane: Calm Before the Storm

It’s quite rare indeed to have such low drama within the cosmos as we have this week. Consider this a fabulous pre-holiday wane. The planets are not pushing all of our buttons or creating constant upheaval. Mercury is no longer in retrograde, we’re not in the middle of an eclipse and Pluto and Uranus are leaving each other alone for the moment.

The excitement doesn’t kick in until around the 28th when we have the next full Moon (in Cancer) to stir the emotional pot just in time for New Year’s Eve. For now, just enjoy the silence. This is a great time to focus on your holiday shopping or other plans, as there will be less emotional interference to throw you off track. The irony is that we may actually find this period a bit of a lull and actually miss some of the action and spark. Use this time to get nicely calm and centered as you prepare for another big year. Take advantage of the mellow.

Parties should be light and sparkly, so if you’d like to avoid family drama, book your time with relatives before the 22nd if possible. In fact, the first two weeks of the month are so calm in the cosmos there’s actually the opportunity to experience things as planned. Imagine that!

The only notable shift is on December 10 when Mercury finally leaves Scorpio and moves into straight-shooting Sagittarius. Communication gets easier and more optimistic in tone. We have been under the heavy and psychologically oriented influence of Scorpio for weeks, so this breath of fresh fiery air is welcome. Now we can all cut right to the chase. Cheers!
