President Obama more ambitious term - Al Quaeda on alert

President Obama was sworn in for his second term at 11.55am on 20^{th January 2013 in Washington.}

It looks marginally less upbeat than the 2009 Inauguration chart but also less fuzzy and less stuck. The 2009 Inauguration chart had an exuberant Sun Jupiter; a trapped 8th house Pluto with financial overtones; Saturn opposition Uranus also a hint of economic downturn; a worrisome, indecisive Moon square Neptune; and a less than spontaneous Saturn in the 5th.

 

This Inauguration chart has a lucky, confident Sun Jupiter connection in a trine; but there’s a fractious, bad-tempered Moon square Mars; and a bleak, deprived Saturn sextile Pluto Venus as well as a wide, sombre Saturn square Mercury Sun. The Moon Mars is further emphasised being tied into the Scorpio North Node putting Mars at the focal point in the 10th. So generally a more ambitious and decisive term though one that will run into rivalries and competition because of its uncompromising stance.

 

Interestingly Joe Biden who had his Swearing In just after 8.20 am also on the 20th and who will be handling most of the gun control battle has that focal point Mars on the Ascendant. So he’s going to be the one leading the charge and in the hot seat.

 

　

 

With the Algerian hostage siege the Al Quaeda franchise has clearly got back into gear after Bin Laden’s demise. Not that it ever was the centralised organisation which was punted initially and it is now even more fragmented, a loose network for Islamist fundamentalist terrorists and warring tribal interests across Africa and beyond. It is more an anti-Western concept or militants pursuing local vendettas than a cohesive army.

 

But the umbrella Al Quaeda chart, 11 Aug 1988, still holds good. It has a focal point aggressive Mars in Aries on the point of a T Square to Neptune opposition Venus in Cancer with Mars also quincunx Pluto – so violent, likes publicity, patriotic, emotionally intense, ruthless. And with a Sun Moon Mercury in Leo keen on showy displays of force. The Sun Mercury trine a wants-change and autocratic Saturn Uranus conjunction in Sagittarius.

 

When Bin Laden was removed from the scene in May 2011 tr Pluto was exactly conjunct the Al Quaeda Neptune which sounds about right for devastation and confusion. Especially since it carries with it overtones of the destructive/trapped tr Pluto square Mars.

 

At 9/11 the Saturn Uranus conjunction had moved by Solar Arc to exactly square the focal point Mars – which is explosive, destructive, cruel. With the war-mongering Saturn opposition Pluto exactly square the Al Quaeda Pisces North node – so its’ moment of destiny.

 

At the moment there are decidedly upbeat influences on the Al Quaeda chart across the end of this month through February and repeating on and off till late 2014 with tr Pluto opposition the Sun/Jupiter midpoint and tr Uranus square Sun/Jupiter – so more attacks are likely. Their confidence boost is especially strong at the moment also because of the very pushy Solar Arc Pluto opposition Jupiter.

 

Not that it is all going ‘their’ way since tr Pluto continues to square their Mars this year which is frighteningly stuck; tr Uranus is square Neptune and conjunct Mars which could lead to macho misjudgements and is also insecure and confused. And tr Neptune is chipping away at ‘their’ resolve and hopes for reform through into 2014.

 

Whether it is decades of global terror ahead is debatable since ‘they’ walk into a complete blind alley in about six years’ time which may loosen the bonds of the militant Islamist crusade. But the next two years could certainly be a scary time for Western interests.
