After three weeks of chaos, confusion, cracked iPhone screens, crashed iPads, and massive travel commotion, you can finally get it together: Mercury goes direct on Friday, February 28 and … it’s about time!
While Mercury retrograded through Pisces earlier in February, our emotional lives were steeped in nostalgia and muck -- we were time-traveling down paths from our past.
Aquarius rules technology. It's the astrological mother of invention. So when the Trickster planet shifted back into the sign of electricity and intellect at mid-month, the disarray suddenly smacked us in the digital face. And because we’re so connected to our gadgets that we’re practically androids these days, it probably felt like your life was unraveling, byte-by-byte.
Happily, once the planet of communication stations direct, your mind will return to a healthier state. Note that it won’t happen all at once. There's a 10- to 14-day “shadow” phase, during which Mercury will slowly bring your digital life back to order. But there should be a relative moratorium on your laptop’s penchant for failing at the worst possible moment.
Even more important, your mind –-- a totally indispensible computer -- will be able to download and crunch data better than it has in a while. Conversations will flow, your writing will no longer be halting, opaque or nonsensical. Everything will begin to make sense again.
The key is patience. Don’t expect to wake up on March 1 to a perfect scenario. Get back into the flow again at your own pace by immersing yourself in your favorite mental pursuits in small doses. Brain fog and technical disaster are a very bad combination, but your speed and accuracy will soon return.
You may want to take a Digital Sabbath at the end of the month, just to reset. Unplug for a few days. Hit "shutdown" and wait for your mind to cool off before you heat things up again.
