It is Sunday night and it has been raining over 24 hours now for much of the middle of the United States. It is supposed to be raining for another two days. While I was thinking about it raining so much, the Angels reminded me of a song by the Carpenter’s, “Rainy Days and Mondays.” It is perfect analogy for this blog post.
The Angels like to remind us how powerful we are. We sometimes forget that our thoughts can create our experience. I know of someone who hates Mondays. In fact she spends Sunday nights dreading the fact that Monday is coming and rarely gets any sleep. Monday mornings she walks into work in a bad mood. By Wednesday she is a delight to be around but if you need to speak to her about anything Monday is definitely not the day! And it would seem that her Mondays were always the most difficult day of the week. If she asked her Angels why the start of her work week was depressing and difficult, they would let her know that she was attracting negative situations because of her thoughts about it. She was already expecting on Sunday that Monday was going to be difficult and so it was.

If we don’t particularly like rainy days, Mondays or any situation, the best thing we can do is remember we have a choice in how we feel about it. The day or situation cannot put us in a bad mood. We can’t change some situations, like stopping the rain. But we can choose what we think about it and whether we will let it affect our day. Remember that it is best not to decide that something is going to be negative or hard before the situation or day is even here. Be empowered. We can wait until the situation or day arrives and then choose how we feel about it. Be empowered by remembering that nothing and no one can shift our energy. We always have a choice in how we feel.
So how do you feel about rainy days and Mondays?
