Rodney King - Forest Boy

Rodney King, who became emblematic as the victim of racist brutality in the American police force was born 2 April 1965 7am Sacramento, California so right at the heart of the turbulent 1960s.

 

It’s a quite disjointed, untogether chart with three almost separate batches of planets, two of them linked by oppositions. He had a hidden Sun Venus Moon Mercury in Aries in his 12^{th which is not really connected to anything else except Sun inconjunct Uranus and Moon inconjunct Neptune. He had the Saturn in Pisces opposition Mars Uranus Pluto in Virgo of the time in his 11th/5th house square a Gemini North Node – so he was emotionally volatile, frustrated by the restrictions of his life, inclined to attract trouble. He also had Jupiter in indulgent Taurus opposition Neptune perhaps another hint of the substance abuse he could never shake off.}

The recent Lunar Eclipse was exactly square his Pluto Uranus Mars opposition Saturn and sitting on his North Nodal axis so a key time in a troubled life. His Progressed/Solar Arc Midheaven was almost in opposition to his Mars – if the birth time is marginally out by minutes that might have been exact which would certainly bring a shocking event and domestically in all likelihood.

 

Oddly enough his Solar Arc Jupiter at the moment is exactly trine his Saturn and sextile his Uranus which you would have thought would have mellowed the effect of the time somewhat. Maybe he wanted out.

 

The sad truth is that he could never really escape the frustrations of his life. Even his multi million dollar settlement for his beating went in substantial part to the lawyers. So having got done over by one part of the system he then got done over by the legal vultures.

 

　

 

The forest boy who turned up in Germany last September claiming to be an orphan turns out to be a troubled Dutch boy, called Robin van Helsum. Born as far as I can gather on 22 April 1992 he is a confident Sun Taurus in an Earth Grand Trine to Jupiter in Virgo and North Node (Moon) in Capricorn.

 

He does have a challenging Pluto in Scorpio trine Mars in Pisces, which sextiles onto a focal point Uranus Neptune conjunction in Capricorn. So he doesn’t look to have an easy childhood – fearful, high tension, confusing. His Venus in Aries is sextile Saturn and square Uranus Neptune – so emotionally he’s changeable, stressed, prone to flights of fancy.

 

What is striking is the fact that he has four planets – Venus, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune all in aspect to his Mars/Saturn midpoint – so unfairness if not downright cruelty runs as a theme through his life.

 

When he upped sticks and left the Netherlands last year his Solar Arc Sun was opposition his Pluto making him feel trapped. Transiting Pluto and tr Uranus were both in hard aspect to one leg of his Grand Trine giving it an almighty shake so he’d feel the need for a radical change in his life. Plus tr Saturn was opposing his Venus and square Uranus Neptune in the time following – so emotionally damped down.

 

It’s a shame since he looks like he’s got a good deal of potential in his chart. I’d think he was rather bright, certainly lucky and has great determination.
