Runaway Bride

Though it's normal to get cold feet, most women are conditioned to want to be betrothed. Within our society, being married gives us validation -- even if there's no tangible evidence that married women are any happier. That said, it's the rare bird that flies the coop before the big day ... but which Sun signs are most likely to do so?

Freedom-loving signs such as Aquarius, Aries and Sagittarius need to feel as if they can be themselves in a relationship, and will often go to great lengths to avoid a commitment that doesn't allow them to come and go as they please. A woman with a very strong Aquarius or Uranus, for that matter, has a better ability to disassociate from the feelings that brought her and her mate together to begin with; she will be able to shut off, so to speak, in order to do what's in her best interest -- as well as the best interest of her partner -- over the long run.

Although Sagittarius women are less likely to commit to begin with, the reason they may dash at the last minute is a need to be honest with their loved one: They could never live a lie. Aries women have a need to find themselves, and it requires a great deal of courage to leave ... although it could be just what the doctor ordered.

A strong Uranus could indicate an ability to change one's mind quickly when it comes to marriage -- a commitment that's usually perceived as cramping one's freedom. After all, Uranus likes movement and forward thinking, and an impending marriage could be seen by a bride-to-be as stagnation.
